John Hawkwood

A Notorious English Mercenary Knight.
John Hawkwood was born in Essex in 1320. He may have been born in the village of Sible Hedingham. He was the second son of a tanner and minor landowner, Gilbert Hawkwood, who had accumulated wealth through his business transactions.
