Find From Wirral – Fun finds

During summer while the crops are on the fields our opportunities to dig are limited so the stream of finds being verified by the Portable Antiquities Scheme lessens.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

This gives us an opportunity to show some finds that aren’t old enough to be considered by PAS but interest us.<\/p>\n

In amongst the tin cans, modern coins, aluminium foil and other debris here are a couple of items that have raised a smile.<\/div>\n

First is a badge with “Monitor” on it which still has some surviving blue enamel in the centre of the second “o”. Anyone have one at school ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Secondly is a modern toy car that really hasn’t survived its stay in the soil too well.<\/div>\n
