Finds From Wirral – Strap End

We have over 80 medieval items including buckles, brooches, spindle whorls, vessel parts, strap ends and coins. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Some are pictured below along with the links to their detailed assessment on PAS (Portable Antiquities Scheme).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a strap end which would have been fitted to the end of a leather or in this case cloth strap. If you look carefully you can see some of the original cloth still intact in the unit. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It has been dated from AD 1200-1400.
