This would originally had a hook but this has corroded away. Dated AD43-410.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/finds.org.uk\/database\/artefacts\/record\/id\/1099363\">https:\/\/finds.org.uk\/database\/artefacts\/record\/id\/1099363<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The one on the right is more spherical in shape and has been dated as Roman by PAS with the caveat that this one may be later. Again it has an internal iron insert which would have had a hook on it but this has corroded away. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The spherical one is much less distinctive in shape and such weights were used throughout the ages hence the possibility this is later.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/finds.org.uk\/database\/artefacts\/record\/id\/1103214\">https:\/\/finds.org.uk\/database\/artefacts\/record\/id\/1103214<\/a><br \/>\n<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finds From Wirral &#8211;\u00a0Pair of lead weights This is a pair of lead weights.
