Dominga is a public relations, media liaison and communications professional, with substantial high-profile management experience in marketing and pr. She grew up in Liverpool but in 1974 moved to Birmingham and spent the majority of her career in frontline media, in paid-for daily newspapers, radio and television.
Dominga has extensive experience in newspaper and magazine marketing, promotions, PR and events management, having worked as Marketing and Promotions Manager for the Birmingham Post & Mail Newspaper Group, which later became Midland Independent Newspapers, and as Public Relations Project Manager for The NEC Group in Birmingham. Other media roles included Literary Events Co-ordinator for SAGA Radio and for BBC Radio WM.
She then moved to the not-for-profit sector fulfilling senior marketing roles for Big Lottery Fund, Comic Relief, and BBC Trust. She spent several years as Business Development Manager at the National Institute of Conductive Education, helping people with neurological conditions, before becoming the co-ordinator of the Global Sustainability Film Awards for Television for the Environment, based in London. After moving to the Wirral in 2015 Dominga has worked as a freelance marketing and project manager and developed her local history interests. She finds everything about Wirral’s history fascinating!
