Sigurd the Crusader

Sigurd Magnusson, King of Norway, The Viking warrior who was the first Crusader King to set foot in the Holy land.

Sigurd I, was a King of Norway between the years of 1103 until 1130.

Sigurd was the son of King Magnus Barefoot, a renowned Viking warrior. He had two half-brothers, Olaf and Øystein, both sons of Barefoot, but all three had born to different mothers.

Before Sigurd had become King of Norway, he had been the Earl of Orkney, and he was also held the title of King of the Isles, namely of Orkney, Shetland and, at one point, the Isle of Man.
