Eadric Streona (Streona was a cognomen meaning the ‘Grasper’ or ‘Acquisitor’) was a Mercian Ealdorman who lived during the Danish conquest of England in the early 11th century. He is remembered for his treacherous behaviour during the conflict between the Danes and the Anglo-Saxons.
